Wellness Assistant

Department: Assisted Living
Location: Omaha, NE

Are you a compassionate, organized, and proactive individual who enjoys working in a supportive healthcare environment? We’re looking for a Wellness Assistant to join our caring team and help ensure our residents receive exceptional service and support.

About the Role:

As a Wellness Assistant, you will provide essential support to the Director of Nursing and wellness staff. You’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations, excellent customer service, and effective coordination of care and services for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer phones and assist residents, families, and guests with inquiries

  • Support staff in delivering high-quality resident care and services

  • Monitor and remind residents of meals, appointments, and activities

  • Work on the floor as a Medication Aide role several days of the week.

  • Participate in quality assurance processes and complete audits

  • Assist with hiring, training, and retention efforts

  • Communicate with pharmacies to manage medication orders

  • Maintain medical and office supplies for the wellness team

  • Document and share resident information accurately via EMR

  • Support resident events, marketing functions, and other facility activities

  • Live and demonstrate company values: Professionalism, Integrity, Commitment, and Compassion

What We’re Looking For:

  • Active Medication Aide Certification and listing on registry - REQUIRED

  • At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare or senior care setting preferred

  • Strong customer service and administrative skills

  • Ability to multitask, organize, and prioritize effectively

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Familiarity with EMRs, office equipment, and basic technology

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule at times

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally

  • Frequent walking, standing, and hands-on activity

  • Typing, filing, and general administrative tasks
